While in the academy During the Dominion war the Breen had attacked San Fransico he helped his fellow classmates escape in shuttles to the USS Republic while on board the tactical officer was injured he took over the weapons and helped devise a stragety of making the ship seem as if it where badly damaged lowering the Breen ships in and opening up Phaser and photon torpedo attacks on them calling it Otadan beta stragety. As a result he was awarded the Star Fleet Award of Valor medal by Admiral John Ross his father old friend. After gradutating and serving on the Lexington as Assist Tactical Officer he helped with security during the warcrimes tribunal in which the Vorta and Founders. The Lexington was one of the Star Ships to secure that sector.
