=== Biographical Data ===
Sporek is the product of a brief courtship between his mother, Ambassador T’Sai of Vulcan and El-Aurian immigrant Erin Sharek Vorten, a cargo ship commanding officer. Sporek was born on the family lands just outside the city of Shi’Kahr, despite the absence of his biological father his stepfather was present at both Sporek’s birth and naming ceremony, he inherited his name from his forefather Minister Sporek, a prominent member of the Vulcan Council. Despite not being fully Vulcan his family accepted him as openly as Vulcans can allow, he often served as the voice of reason to his younger siblings. Sporek was an intelligent boy and showed no sign of emotional struggle, his childhood on Vulcan was like every other Vulcan child. Aside from his dedication to his schoolwork Sporek had gained a liking to the arts, he enjoyed to paint, at the age of ten he was accepted in the Vulcan Academy of the Arts in Shi’Kahr.

Sporek spend much of his time between his schooling in Shi’Kahr and living with his family on their home in the province of Raal. In 2294 at the age of twelve Sporek underwent the Kahs-wan ritual, upon his return to society he was considered a full member of Vulcan, after his completion of the right he was permitted to attend the Vulcan Science Academy. Shortly before beginning his school at the Science Academy, Sporek choose to pursue the Rite of Tal’oth, a much more demanding and rigorous rite of passage on Vulcan, armed with only a blade Sporek set off into the dessert once again. On the first night out in the dessert Sporek was attacked by a wild Sehlat, initially Sporek foolishly believed that he could combat the beast after a ten minute tussle with the Sehlat Sporek sought out protection in a near by cave, it took two days for the beast to lose interest in Sporek. After a month in the desserts Sporek emerged a changed individual.

At the Vulcan Science Academy Sporek had taken an keen interest in astrophysics, astronomy, and particle physics, Sporek was an intellectually inquiring individual, it seemed the more he understood things the more content he became. He had a clear attraction to the science field, as he grew older he’d take an interest in the social sciences, when he was 16 he took part in an archaeological dig in the city of Gol. His stepfather Vortek, a ranking member of the Vulcan Defense Force, often encouraged Sporek to consider joining the Defense Force once he graduated from the Science Academy; Sporek gave it much thought. In 2299 Sporek wrote a paper on the probabilities of creating artificial wormholes, shortly after his paper was published Sporek was invited to speak at a conference on subspace anomalies. After Sporek’s graduation from the Vulcan Science Academy in 2303 he applied and was accepted into the Vulcan Defense Institute.

Sporek had become a skilled strategist and tactician, he led his class battle scenarios he also became proficient in different forms of hand to hand combat. In 2305 while still studying at the Institute he began the Pon-Farr requiring him to put aside his studies and take mate, 5 days after beginning the Pon-Farr he was joined to his destined mate T'rin. After their marriage Sporek left the Defense Institute and began serving on the Vulcan Ship Shavokh as a junior tactical officer. Soon after he received his posting aboard the Shavokh he was welcomed by the birth of his first child, a boy whom he named Vortek, after his stepfather. Still very young Sporek did much of his maturing aboard the Shavokh, his skills as an officer grew greatly, and his ability to improve himself caught the attention of his commanding officer, Commander Savek.

In 2311, while on a mission of exploration near the Romulan boarder, the Soval received a distress call from a Federation Outpost within the Foxtrot Sector. The crew initially objected to answering the hail, however Commander Savek, ordered the helm to set a course for the Foxtrot sector. Some found Commander Savek’s order highly illogical and out of his nature, the crew however followed his orders, before they even reached the Foxtrot Sector the ship was knocked out of warp. The Soval was highly damaged and the crew was visibly shaken by the sight before them, after reestablishing the ship’s systems the Soval quickly went to work to rescue any survivors of the catastrophe the would come to be known as the Tomed Incident. The event left a lasting affect on the young Sporek.

For the crew’s efforts each member of the crew was awarded a Federation Medal of Bravery. However Sporek grew quickly disillusioned by this career in the Vulcan Defense Force, after the incident Sporek resigned from the VDF in order to enter Starfleet Academy. His ever faithful wife, T’Rin chose to join him at Starfleet Academy. In his first semester at Starfleet Academy Sporek was met with complete culture shock, he had never spent much time away from fellow Vulcans, he initially considering leaving the Academy due to the Human nature. However he quickly came to terms with the diversity, overcoming his prejudice against his emotional peers. Sporek found the Academy’s training far more tamed in comparison to what he had endured on Vulcan, Zero-G combat training was to him the only challenge.

At the academy Sporek excelled in his physics class, initially he planned on following the course of a science officer but as he continued in the academy his passion for the tactical field was rekindled. At Starfleet Academy Sporek befriended many people through the game of billiards, Sporek was exceptionally skilled in the game, when not with his wife and child he was found in Max’s Lounge with his colleagues. Aside from his courses in the security field Sporek also took some courses in intelligence, notably in interrogation and intelligence analysis. By his junior year at the Academy Sporek had gathered over a hundred hours in various training simulations as such his professor of space tactics suggest that Sporek take part in the Kobayashi Maru simulation. Sporek recorded a time of 10 minutes 37 seconds, his scenario consisted of taking on three Romulan vessels and his solution to the scenario was to create an antimatter explosion by firing three photon torpedoes and firing the phasers on them in order to create the explosion and thus weakening the ships that were in pursuit.

The plan initially appeared to work, two of the three ships were damaged, allowing for Sporek to mount an assault on those two vessels. However the undamaged third vessel focused it weapons on the Sporek, when things became dire, Sporek ordered the ship to set a course for a new by nebula, the Romulan vessel followed after the ship, Sporek ordered the crew to evacuate the ship while in the nebula. Once the crew was evacuated Sporek activated the ship self destruct sequence. The scenario left a lasting effect on Sporek, because of it the prospect of command does not appeal to him. Despite inability, in his opinion, to excel in the Kobayashi Maru scenario Professor Douglass, his Space Tactics instructor suggested that Sporek enroll in Starfleet Academy’s Advanced Tactical Training program.

After graduating in the 44th percentile from Starfleet Academy Sporek went on to begin studying at Starfleet’s Advanced Tactical Training facilities. Sporek was welcomed with new experiences at the facilities, his training there prepared him for almost every scenario, and while enrolled in the program Sporek received the opportunity to train with Marines and Starfleet’s fighter squadrons. Commander Shran, Sporek’s instructor, noted that Sporek would be a fine tactician and strategist once he began his career in Starfleet. Sporek benefited greatly from his training in the Advanced Tactical program, as a Starfleet officer he had matured greatly. In 2317 he completed his training in the advanced tactical training program, allowing him to begin his career as a Starfleet officer.

His first assignment was on Outpost Gamma Proxy II, an outpost in very close proximity to areas of space controlled by the Orion syndicate, Sporek was assigned as the outpost’s security investigations officer. On his first day at the outpost Sporek was welcomed by a group of thieves who were trying to break into a closed shop. Sporek met often with the Chief of Security, Lieutenant Malcolm Fisher, the two began a campaign of zero tolerance against crime aboard the outpost. Sporek was able to establish a link of trusted informants in order to stay ahead of the various crime rings, his methods of interrogation, though unorthodox, were efficient. By 2319, the crime rate showed a steady decline, however as Sporek worked to clean the outpost the pon farr called him away from his duties.

In 2319, he joined T’Rin aboard the USS Julius Caesar, aboard the Julius Caesar Sporek took on the role of the ship Asst. Science officer and Relief Tactical officer, in 2320 Sporek and T’Rin had their second child, a girl, whom they named Asil. In 2321 while on boarder patrol near the Romulan Neutral Zone the USS Julius Caesar was attacked by a Romulan vessel, Sporek happened to be on duty at the tactical console when the Romulans attacked. When the Tactical officer never reported for duty Sporek continued to man the tactical console, when the situation became dire the ship and crew were able to defeat the Romulans by using a maneuver now referred to as the Sporek Charge Maneuver. Sporek told the helm officer to set a course towards the Romulan Vessel at full impulse with forward shields at full power then when the ship came within 100 meters of the Romulans Sporek would fire photon torpedoes. Sporek served with distinction aboard the Julius Caesar until 2325, while exploring a nebula the Julius Caesar was attacked by an unknown enemy resulting in the evacuation of the crew and the destruction of the ship.

Shortly after the destruction of the ship the crew was assigned to the USS Columbus, a Centaur class vessel, Sporek assumed the role of the ship’s Chief Tactical/Security officer, and acted as chief of the science department. Sporek’s duties aboard the ship allowed him gain certain opportunities not many other Starfleet officers were allowed and wide range of allies. In 2326, after his fourth pon’farr cycle T’Rin gave birth to their third child, a boy whom they named Suran. As a father Sporek had done his best to be apart of his children’s lives, he often taught them of their Vulcan heritage and his family’s history, he often played the guitar or a Vulcan lyre and sang for his children. In 2331, now with 20 years of service under his belt, Sporek was offered and accepted a teaching position at Starfleet Academy.

Initially Sporek was hired to become an Assistant Professor of Astrophysics but after a year of teaching in the science department he was promoted to Professor of Criminology and Space Tactics. Sporek held Master degrees in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science, which allowed him to take the role of Professor of Criminology. Many of his students found his class intriguing, as an educator Sporek found it much more efficient for his students to have hands on role in their education; however his classes were among some of the toughest to pass. While teaching at Starfleet Academy Sporek took part in an experiment testing subspace weapons, he among ten of his colleagues warned against the use of the weapons due to their instability. As an instructor at Starfleet Academy Sporek wrote several papers in each of the fields he was knowledgeable, his paper “Society and Birth of the Criminal” became a required reading in the academy’s criminology course.

He spent much of his time on Earth to his family and his studies, while on Earth Sporek took the opportunity to gain his Masters of Interstellar Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy. Aside from his teaching duties at the Academy Sporek was also responsible for the Academy’s battle simulation systems, Sporek often updated himself on various military and other hostile forces within the Alpha/Beta Quadrant. Sporek made it a requirement that in order to pass his Space Tactics class with higher than a B one had to last longer than ten minutes in the Kobayashi Maru scenario. Much of his work at the Academy was reflected on creating some of the best tacticians and security officers in Starfleet, many of his students went on to attend Advanced Tactical Training, Advanced Combat Pilot Academy, and Starfleet Command School.

In the summer while many of the students were away Sporek taught in Starfleet Academy’s Preparatory Program, many of the initiates who were able to succeed in the program were always discouraged to learn that Sporek would be one of their teachers at the Academy. Many of his female students felt a bit of an attraction to Sporek, however despite Sporek’s stern and cold nature he was a fair teacher and took many of his students under his guidance, becoming of father figure to many of them. Tensions with the Cardassians were mounting, Sporek who had monitored the situation closely often hypothesized that war was on the horizon. In 2351, when full scale war broke, Sporek left his position at Starfleet Academy, after 20 years at the Academy Sporek returned to active duty. Sporek rejoined his wife and the crew of the Columbus, serving as the ships Chief Security and Tactical Officer.

Sporek’s return to the Columbus was met with an immediate call to the front lines of the war. Sporek had very little contact with the Cardassians, other than in the simulations he provided his students with, this knowledge however did not prepare him for actual combat with the Cardassians. Sporek initially saw the Cardassians as a valiant foe, worthy of the reputation that they earned. In 2352 Sporek was ordered to take command of a security team which was to be responsible for the protection of the inhabitant of Cetii II, a small colony near Cardassian space. Sporek had found himself working to think of new tactics to out smart his Cardassian rivals, while fighting on the colony his respect for the Cardassians all but disappeared when he saw the brutality towards the civilians.

After a month on the Academy Sporek and his team had regained control over most of Ceti II, with each city recaptured Sporek recruited civilians security forces to help fend off the Cardassians. Eventually the security forces and the Cardassians entered a stalemate, neither side gaining any leeway. In the fight for the colony, victory came on stardate 30033.6 but at a costly price, nearly 25 of Sporek’s security force had been killed and 45 were injured, while those who were still fit to celebrate partied, Sporek noted in his log that there is nothing sweet about a pyrrhic victory. His return aboard the Columbus was met with a brief shoreleave, Sporek spent much of his free time in deep meditation, the fighting left a lasting effect on him. His wife T’Rin was there to console him through his lapse in logic.

The Columbus continued to fight in the frontlines of the Cardassian War until 2355 when the ship was pulled away to monitor the Romulan Neutral Zone, though the Romulans had been silent for many decades Starfleet believed the current war with the Cardassians would serve as a means for Romulans to enter Federation space. The truth was Starfleet Command was planning the decommissioning of the USS Columbus, in 2357 after 31 years of service to Starfleet the Columbus was decommissioned. After the ship was decommissioned Sporek and T’Rin returned to Vulcan. Both T’Rin and Sporek had taken the time on Vulcan to spend time with their families, despite having left the Vulcan Defense Force, ranking officers invited Sporek to speak to younger officers. Sporek was admitted into the V’Shar, further integrating himself into the intelligence field.

In 2358 Sporek was chosen to serve as the liaison between Starfleet Intelligence and the V’Shar, the two organizations joined together in order to track down a group of dissident Vulcans wishing to seek amnesty in Romulan space. Sporek had become skilled with finding information; he was skilled when it came into hacking into computer systems and interrogation. With the combined skills of Sporek and the other intelligence operatives the Vulcans were recaptured and brought back to be placed on trial. After his mission came to an end Sporek was asked to participate in various missions that followed sue, Sporek spent much time away from Vulcan. Sporek’s presence was not truly felt until 2363, many of his missions while he were with the V’Shar and Starfleet Intelligence have been deemed highly classified.

In 2363 Sporek was admitted into the Interspecies Scientific Exchange, in December of 2363 he was assigned to the IKS Kor as the Chief Science Officer. While serving on the Kor the Klingon officers often mocked him, Sporek understood to gain their respect of the crew he would have to prove his honor, so when a younger officer challenged Sporek’s orders, Sporek to his question as a challenge and fought with the officer. The more mature Sporek had been fighting hand to hand combat for the last sixty years; it came as no surprise to Sporek that he easily defeated his opponent. From the day forward Sporek was accepted as a member of the crew, he and Captain Boral of the Kor even went on to become sparring partners, Sporek was welcomed as a member of Boral’s house. In 2365 Sporek was made the godfather of Boral’s son, who Boral had chosen to name after Sporek.

In 2367 while still serving on the IKS Kor Sporek received news that his wife died during the epic battle of Wolf 359. He left the Kor to attend his wife's funeral after the Funeral he didn't return to the Klingon ship; Sporek instead choose to focus his time on easier takes, with the advice of his mother Sporek joined Starfleet Diplomacy. As he worked as a diplomat at large for Starfleet Diplomacy he worked on receiving his EMIR from the Surak School of Diplomacy on Vulcan. As a diplomat at large one of his first missions was to help open negotiations with the Federation and the Ferengi, Sporek, being of vast patients often frustrated the Ferengi for his inability to approve of plans that clearly favored the Ferengi. When the negotiation came to an end, while Sporek was in a shuttle craft returning to Earth, a power surge occurred in the shuttle craft, severely injuring Sporek and killing the pilot. Sporek had been knocked unconscious when he awoke nearly five days later he was under the care of Dr. Veronica Powler, the two felt an automatic attraction.

On July 8th 2369 Sporek and Doctor Veronica Powler were married in Hawaii; in 2370 Veronica gave birth to fraternal triplet's two girls Alana and T'Sai and one boy Michael. As a diplomat for Starfleet Sporek had help to ease tensions between Starfleet and the Tzenkethi, Kobliad, and Tiburons, he also helped to establish trading with the Gorn and the Federation. His career at Starfleet Diplomacy came to an end in 2372 when news of an on coming Borg invasion traveled throughout Starfleet. Sporek never admitted that he wanted to fulfill a vendetta; he had a deep hatred for the Borg because of T’Rin’s death. Before going aboard the USS Rigel, an Akira class vessel, Sporek took the time to do research on the Borg and their weapons, aboard the Rigel Sporek would serve as its Chief Tactical/Security officer.

Despite trying to be prepared the Rigel was tossed aside by the Borg vessel, after the battle Sporek stayed with the crew of the Rigel. In 2373 with the Dominion War coming into full swing the Rigel was sent into the Front lines of the Dominion War. Sporek served with distinction aboard the USS Rigel, many of the younger officers often came to Sporek for advice, he’d become a father figure to many of the crew. A battle hardened officer Sporek often kept his calm while in combat with Dominion vessels, the amount of maturity he showed inspired many of his junior officers. In 2374 Sporek and his security team was sent to Outpost Gamma Cetii to reinforce the combat squad stationed on the plant, it would be the first time that Sporek engaged in hand to hand combat with the Jem’Hadar.

When the war came to an end in 2375 Sporek was offered an instructor position at Starfleet Academy but turned it down to stay aboard the Rigel. Sporek would serve on the Rigel for another two years before deciding to take a break from his career in Starfleet and assist his wife with raising their three young children, Sporek relocated to Vulcan with his wife and children. At the Vulcan Science Academy Sporek was chosen to become Professor of Astrophysics and Cosmology. In 2378 Sporek was invited to cheer a seminar at the Orion School of Cosmology, at the Science Academy Sporek wrote a paper entitled “The Origin of the Universe and It’s Future” a paper detailing the process of the Universes’ creation, it’s growth and it’s destiny and how civilizations with effect it, for his paper he was awarded another PhD. On his free times Sporek traveled to Earth in order to teach Remedial Biology to cadets.

In 2381 Sporek began to yearn for the thrill of being in space, after four years away from Starfleet, Sporek returned to Starfleet. Sporek chose to join his friend and newly promoted Captain James Conrad aboard his Saber Class ship the USS Katana, serving as the ships Chief Tactical Officer, there was no ship better for Sporek to make his return to Starfleet. With the help of his comrade and the many officers he befriended Sporek welcomed his return to Starfleet, in 2382 however Sporek was requested to take on the role of Deputy Director of Starfleet’s Risk Assessment Division. After 6 months of serving at Starfleet Tactical Command, Sporek left his position in order to serve once again with his long time colleague, James Conrad, aboard the USS Lancelot. After being placed aboard the Lancelot Starfleet resumed his role as the ship’s tactical officer, Sporek continues to serve aboard the Lancelot; his experiences aboard the ship have solidified his skill as an officer and his friendship with Admiral Conrad.
