Anile has a round face with well-defined cheekbones. She has a dark olive complexion.  She has long dark hair that is often pulled back on her head to keep it out of the way, even when not on duty.   Her body is somewhat curvaceous, though fit, as she leads a fairly active life.

Personality

Anile is somewhat shy until she knows someone.  She is something of a tomboy, having grown up with two older brothers, and can be rather competitive.  Generally a kind and loyal person, she is also not a pushover, and will stand her ground when need be.

While her empathic abilities help Anile to get along with most people, she's still really only close to her brothers. 

Background

Born to a Betazoid mother and Human father, Anile's early childhood memories are happy ones.  Her father was a distinguished Starfleet officer, and the family traveled with him on his assignments. 

However, as Anile got older, things started changing.  Her Betazoid mother was very talented, very active and strong, and had been born that way rather than her abilities developing in adolescence.  But as with others who's telepathic abilities develop that early, she gradually spiraled into mental illness as her hard-fought abilities to control the influx of other's thoughts began to erode.  She was often irritable or depressed, and many times wouldn't even take care of her own children. 

Her father quit Starfleet to take care of their mother, who needed so much care.  It was at this time the family settled permanently on Betazed where there were people there who could try to treat her.  With both parents caught up in this world of mental illness, Anile and her brothers were often left alone, taking care of each other.  They spent hours outdoors to get away from their mother's terrible fits she threw, retreating to the tranquility of the lush countryside.

Despite everything at home, school was another way for Anile to lose herself to what her home life was like.  Graduating at the top of her high school class, it was a given Anile would apply to Starfleet Academy as her brothers had done before her. 

While at the Academy, Anile showed an aptitude for navigation, and she became an accomplished pilot.  She rose through the ranks quickly, before being promoted and to Chief Helm Officer and assigned to the USS Lancelot.

As the child of a Betazoid mother, Anile and her brothers did have the usual empathic abilities seen in most of a human/Betazoid union.  And while not as strong as a true Betazoid, Anile's telepathic abilities, with training, became better than some others.  It's not something she cares to use often, preferring to leave people to their own thoughts.
